Fast Forward: A deeper look inside the future of trucking

by Truck News

BRAMPTON, Ont. — Join CITT’s TAC council and Newcom’s Lou Smyrlis with his panels of transportation industry experts for an interactive Speakers Forum on Wednesday, Nov. 23 at M-O Freightworks in Brampton, Ont.

Building on the success of last year’s Fast Forward: The Future of Trucking comes the second instalment. It will offer a deeper look inside the future of trucking; two panels of industry experts will discuss the imminent adoption of breakthrough technologies, such as autonomous trucks and platooning, and the need they will create for new transportation, investment, recruitment and leadership strategies for transportation professionals.

Participate in the discussion as the experts debate how these changes will reshape the face of the Canadian trucking industry, bringing forth new leaders, requiring new skill sets and transforming the shipper-carrier dynamic.

This event is being graciously sponsored by Mobil Delvac with the support of M-O Freightworks, Truck News and CITT Toronto Area Council.

The first speaker panel will touch on major technological changes and their impact on maintenance, technology investment and skills training practices.

The second panel will start right after the break and focus on the impact of new technologies on the shipper-carrier relationship, operational and human resource practices.
