PMTC seeking nominees for awards programs

OAKVILLE, Ont. — The Private Motor Truck Council of Canada has put out the call for nominees, deserving of recognition for their safety record or vehicle graphics.

The 2015 PMTC Awards Program has been opened for entries. Winners in its three award programs will be recognized during the annual PMTC conference, which will be held June 17-18 at the Kingbridge Conference Center in King City, Ont.

Competitions include:

PMTC & 3M Vehicle Graphics Design Awards: This program recognizes fleet operators and graphic design companies who enhance the appearance of their vehicles. Categories include tractor-trailer, straight truck, special event/promotion, night-time safety, light-duty commercial truck, human interest and fleet identity.

PMTC & Huron Services Group Hall of Fame for Professional Drivers: This competition recognizes professional drivers with a stellar safety record. Candidates must be employed by PMTC members. The Hall of Fame resides on the PMTC’s Web site.

PMTC Private Fleet Safety Awards: These awards recognize the safest private fleets in Canada. Winning fleets must have a proven commitment to safety and exceed National Safety Code requirements. This contest is open to all Canadian private truck fleets – PMTC membership is not required.
