Mack and Volvo offering Omnitracs to increase productivity and safety

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Mack Trucks and Volvo Trucks North American have both launched the expansions of their fleet management services with Omnitracs Integrated Telematics.

Mack has utilized the new fleet management solution with its factory-installed telematics hardware in an effort to boost productivity and safety.

“Mack Omnitracs Integrated Telematics gives our customers a new look into their operations, enabling them to more easily see where and how their truck assets are being utilized,” said David Pardue, Mack vice-president of connected vehicle and uptime services. “Applying that knowledge helps increase productivity, while also improving the safety of their drivers.”

Volvo said the new option is fully integrated with its Remote Diagnostics hardware and that Omnitracs meets the needs of customers looking for better data capture and analytics for increased productivity and safety.

“Omnitracs for Volvo Trucks combines the vast fleet management knowledge of Omnitracs, LLC with Volvo Remote Diagnostics hardware to unlock productivity and visibility advantages gained from data analytics,” said Conal Deedy, director of connected vehicle services at Volvo Trucks. “It also enables customers to focus on improving road safety by monitoring driver behaviour and performance.”

Mack Omnitracs subscriptions are available for all new Pinnacle, Granite, TerraPro and Titan models, as well as some current customer vehicles, while Volvo offers the service option on every new truck and can be retrofitted on older models equipped with telematics hardware.
