TOLEDO, Ohio – Dana’s Spicer Heavy Axle and Brake facility in Morganton, N.C., has received the 1999 North Carolina Quality Leadership Award.

“This award is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our people in Morganton,” says Rick Clayton, president of Dana’s Heavy Truck Group. “Their commitment to pleasing our customers is reflected in this achievement.”

The North Carolina Quality Leadership Award focuses on organizations’ achievements in seven areas: leadership, strategic planning, customer and market focus, information and analysis, human resource development and management, process management, and performance results. To receive the award, organizations must demonstrate significant achievements in each area, as measured by a team of examiners and panel of judges.

“I am proud to be a part of this team,” says Jess Anderson, Spicer Morganton plant manager. n
