Training choices on line with many programs

TORONTO, Ont. – Training Alternatives has launched an E-commerce site that takes its Flex School on line, bringing training for the transportation industry to the world of the Web.

Courses include an introduction to electrical principles, preventive maintenance for medium and heavy-duty trucks, workshop efficiency and analysis system, and the Canadian Trucking Human Resources Council’s professional driver recognition program.

A preventive maintenance program for public transit vehicles and Web-based emotional intelligence courses are also in the works.

The newest course – basic electrical training – covers topics such as how to use a multimeter, an introduction to electrics, ohm’s law, theoretical fault finding, power, electrical circuits, voltage drop, electrical fault finding, and a master test.

All of the courses can now be taken from the comfort of your own computer.
