CITT elects new Toronto-area executive council

by Truck News

TORONTO, Ont. – Duane Chiasson will once again serve as chairman of the Toronto Area Council of the Canadian Institute of Traffic and Transportation (CITT).

He was elected to the position on Aug. 31 at the Council’s general meeting. Vice-chair will be Michael Upwood, Grace Di Marca will serve as treasurer and Bill Carter is secretary. Demi Todorov is the events coordinator and Tom Pauls and Denise Ponte were voted in as members at large.

“I am very much looking forward to leading a great group of individuals who volunteer their time to bring together events for like-minded and interested logistics professionals. The scope and importance of the networking found at these events has grown over the years as all events are becoming quality driven,” Chiasson said.

Pauls, who will continue on as member at large after serving as chairman, added “In my three years as chairman we’ve had some fantastic events and set new records for attendance. I’ve learned a lot about leadership and project management, and it’s been a tremendous privilege to lead a dedicated team of volunteers for the CITT TAC.”
