INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – If you’re looking to learn more about how technology has made the trucking industry more environmentally friendly and cost effective, check out this year’s Green Truck Summit, which runs in conjunction with the Work Truck Show in Indianapolis, Ind. March 1-3.

This year’s summit is designed to help improve the decision implementation approach now and incorporate consideration of the exciting new technologies just around the corner,” said Doyle Sumrall, managing director for the Association for the Work Truck Industry (NTEA). “The Green Truck Summit is a must-attend event for representatives of all aspects of the work truck industry who want to get a handle on how productivity and efficiency technologies can impact their organizations today and into the future.”

Produced by the NTEA, the summit will focus on what is and what is not working in the world of clean vehicle technology. It will also provide real-world insights and preview green initiatives of the future, including alternative fuels. Attendees will be able to choose from more than 30 summit and Work Truck Show concurrent sessions covering a myriad of topics.

The summit brings together fleet managers, truck manufactures, dealers, distributors and service providers in an effort to feature content solely focused on multi-stage commercial vehicles.

Presenters at the Green Truck Summit include Erin Gilchrist, director of fleet operations for Safelite AutoGlass, George Survant, senior fleet director of Time Warner Cable, and Sam Spofforth, executive director of Clean Fuels Ohio.

The Work Truck Show runs from March 1-4 at the Indiana Convention Center and will feature the newest vocational truck and equipment offerings in the business, as well as Jay Leno as the keynote speaker.
