TORONTO, Ont. — The Liberal government is planning to extend Highway 407 toward Peterborough, according to a report on thestar.com.

The Liberal’s plan would see the toll highway extended to Hwy. 35/115 by 2020, as part of a multi-phase construction period.

The first phase of construction will now be extended to Harmony Road by 2015 with the second part of the extension to Highway 35/115 in Clarington by 2020, according to The Star‘s report, with an interim interchange at Taunton Road for the East Durham Link by 2017.
