MTA building getting a facelift

by Truck West

WINNIPEG, Man. – The Manitoba Trucking Association (MTA) will be packing its bags and moving to a temporary location while some major renovations are done to its present home at Winnipeg’s 25 Bunting Street.

The structural changes that will occur in the coming year were completely funded by the Manitoba trucking industry through the SAFEWork Manitoba levy, and will result in an increase in the MTA’s assets once complete.

The MTA said the move will not have any affect on the level of service the association provides to its members, and that courses and training would continue throughout the year, but at a new location at Cross Roads Learning Centre (2211 McPhillips Street).

The temporary office where the MTA will be housed for an estimated six to eight months will be on the second floor at 10 Hutchings Street, just down the road from where they are presently located.
