Toronto Trucking Association to host sessions on cargo theft, fraud

TORONTO, Ont. — The Toronto Trucking Association will be hosting a pair of lunch presentations on cargo theft and fraud Jan. 26. Leading the sessions will be Rick Geller of Markel Insurance and Detective Glen Clement of the Peel Commercial Auto Crime Bureau.

The pair’s presentations will focus on the following topics:

  • Cargo Fraud;
  • Stolen loads – who and what is being targeted;
  • What you can do to protect your company;
  • What internal connections there are to the thefts;
  • What behaviours you should be watching out for.

The luncheon will be held at the Weston Golf and Country Club on Jan. 26. The cost to attend is $70 + HST for TTA members and $115 + HST for non-members. For more information, contact Connie Burbidge at cburbidge@tta.on.ca.
