OTA to host educational Council Summit in June

by Truck News

TORONTO, Ont. — The Ontario Trucking Association (OTA) announced today that on June 22, its four new pillar trucking councils – Compliance and Freight Policy Council, Cross-Border Council, People, Planning and Development Council and the Cargo Crime Council – will come together under one roof in Toronto.

The OTA said this new Council Summit will help make trucking companies more efficient and profitable.

The Council Summit is set to take place at the International Plaza Hotel and will be an interactive, educational and networking event dealing with vital industry issues of safety/freight policy, labour, customs and cargo security.

The four councils will each host concurrent sessions that will identify key trends transforming the industry, such as technical standards, rules and regulations, emerging equipment and new technologies. Attendees will be encouraged to take part in an open discussion on current issues and industry best practices, which will help OTA shape future policy.

OTA says the cost to attend the Council Summit is $50 for the networking lunch fee. OTA CEO David Bradley is the keynote speaker.

Registration starts at 9 a.m., followed by meetings beginning at 10 a.m.
