Morneau is taking over for Bernard Boutin, the Foundation’s chairman from 2009 to 2012 and 2014 to 2015.

“The industry faces many workforce challenges; the Foundation develops strategies and supports initiatives that help to ensure a competent pool of human resources to create  next generation of transport professionals. I want to thank Bernard Boutin for the exceptional work he has accomplished over the years, and for the trust he has placed in me by granting me the opportunity to pursue this challenge,” said David Morneau.

Marc Cadieux, president and CEO of the Association du camionnage du Québec added: “Studies have demonstrated that our industry may be facing a labor shortage in the years ahead, across various trades and professions. This confirms the importance of putting strategies in place now that will address the shortage. In this respect, the work accomplished by the Foundation, and by the Workforce Committee will be very important.”
