Detroit Connect awarded Best Telematics Solution from Telematics Update

DETROIT, Mich. – Daimler Truck North America (DTNA) announced that the Detroit Connect brand was decorated with the Best Telematics Service or Solutions for Commercial Vehicles award today from Telematics Update.

More than 400 nominations for this award were received but Detroit Connect came out on top, being recognized as an exceptional telematic solution for commercial vehicles.

“We are proud that Detroit Connect was recognized as a leading solution by Telematics Update,” said Shawn Meredith, telematics strategy and product manager for DTNA in a release. “The Detroit Connect telematics platform provides information for fleet operations through tools that deliver unsurpassed uptime, fuel efficiency, compliance, and safety. This award is a testament to Daimler Trucks North America’s commitment to provide customer value via our connected vehicles.”

Detroit Connect is an onboard diagnostics system that connects drivers and operators in order to improve truck and fleet performance. It was launched in 2013.
