SAVANNAH, Ga. — Great Dane Trailers has promoted David Gilliland to vice-president of branch sales and operations. Gilliland replaces Tracey Maynor, who voluntarily resigned his position at Great Dane.

“Dave has outstanding sales experience, a strong knowledge of the truck trailer industry, great interpersonal and communication skills, and insightful management and team building abilities,” said Phill Pines, Great Dane’s chief operating officer.

Gilliland has a degree in business administration from Western Michigan University and has been with Great Dane for the past 18 years, most recently as the director of sales and administration. His multi-faceted career includes experience in parts, service, sales, national accounts and manufacturing. Prior to joining Great Dane, he was at Fruehauf for eight years in a variety of sales and management positions.
