BELLEVILLE, Ont. — International Truckload Services (ITS) made a special delivery Friday, as the company presented the Belleville Police Service with a new police dog.

ITS sponsored the 14-month-old German Shepherd named Rony, which will work alongside Const. Jeff McNevin as part of the police force. The new team will begin training in April.

The sponsorship was the brainchild of ITS CEO Max Haggarty and daughter Pam, who works as the fleet’s safety and compliance director. In a special ceremony with local media, Haggarty said ITS wants to help the police force get drugs off the streets and Rony will help the cause.
