LONDON, Ont. — NAL Insurance has launched a new individual health and dental program, developed in partnership with The Benefits Company and Green Shield of Canada. NAL officials say the program will be offered on a “guaranteed issue” basis for current members (under the age of 65) that enroll between now and May 31, meaning members that enroll by this date cannot be turned down. Program options include the Silver Plan (drugs only) and Gold Plan (health, dental, drugs and vision care.)

“New members will also be eligible after a 90-day waiting period and will also be given a limited time to join the program,” said Chris Henry, NAL’s vice-president and general manager. “O/Os and drivers that do not chose to participate during the open enrollment period may still be eligible to participate after 12 months, but will most likely be required to prove evidence of insurability through medical underwriting.”
