MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – PeopleNet has named Jim Rodi as its new general manager of North American oil and gas services divisions.

Jim Rodi

In his new role, Rodi will be blending the resources of PeopleNet and Trimble sister company GEOTrac to create an all-in-one offering for oil and gas customers, marketed under the established Trimble brand.

“Trimble is a name trusted by the oil and gas industry. We’re excited to expand our offerings to better serve an unmet need for asset tracking, analytics, navigation and security,” said Rodi. “Our North American Oil and Gas Services Division is bringing together the best Trimble has to offer through an enterprise solution that will enable organizations to efficiently track loads, map oil fields, locate assets or equipment, and record hours of service by combining our solutions into one, comprehensive offering based on a fleet’s needs.”

Rodi has been in the industry for almost 15 years and has held various leadership positions in his 11 years at Qualcomm and OmniTRACS. Most recently, he was the senior vice-president at Rand-McNally.
