SANTA FE SPRINGS, Calif. – During the 30th annual Heavy Duty Distributor’s Council’s (HDDC) Business Conference in Quebec earlier this month, Phillips Industries presented a cheque for $18,214 to the SickKids Foundation.

The donation was made possible because of the Phillips’ generous customers who took part in the company’s “Buy Some, Give Some” campaign wherein a portion of purchases made between May 12 and June 4 were set aside for the charity.

“Phillips is committed to giving back to the communities in which we work and we were so pleased to be a part of this great effort on behalf of HDDC to give back to their communities,” said Rob Phillips, president. “Each year we are happy to see so many contributions going to the SickKids Foundation during the annual convention.  HDDC should be very proud that they encourage all of their suppliers to participate.”

This is the 14th year that the conference contributed to the charity. The HDDC’s total contribution for SickKids this year was more than $85,000.
