PMTC unveils new graduate program

by Truck News

TORONTO, Ont. – The Private Motor Truck Council (PMTC) unveiled today its new PMTC Logistics Management Graduate Program that is made up of select courses from the CITT Program of Study.

The program was designed to help future professionals advance their business and careers.

According to PMTC president, Mike Millian, CITT was chosen after a long review of educated providers.

“CITT was chosen for the course content for our new PMTC Logistics Management Graduate Program, as they are recognized and respected as the leader in logistics management training,” he said. “And, after professionals gain their diploma from our new program, they can also continue directly with CITT, using their credits towards earning the invaluable CCLP (CITT-Certified Logistics Professional) designation.”

CITT president Catherine Viglas said: “Succession planning – for leadership roles in particular—is a critical issue for all types of supply chain logistics companies, including private fleet operators. CITT is thrilled to support the Private Motor Truck Council in helping their member organizations prepare the next generation for leadership roles.”

The courses that make up the PMTC Logistics Management Certification Diploma are: Transportation Systems, Logistics Processes, Logistics Decision Modelling and Business Approach to Writing.

“Young professionals who complete the PMTC Logistics Management Graduate Program and want to continue their industry education—and add one of industry’s most respected professional designations to their credentials—might need to take as few as two more of CITT’s specialized logistics courses in order to earn their CCLP designation,” added Viglas.
