Registration open for CITT’s Fast Forward educational night

TORONTO, Ont. — Once again this year, the CITT’s TAC council along with Newcom’s Lou Smyrlis, will be hosting a special panel discussion on the future of trucking.

The event is slotted for Wednesday, November 23 at M-O Freightworks in Brampton, Ont.

Organizers say this year, two panels of industry experts will discuss the imminent adoption of breakthrough technologies, such as autonomous trucks and platooning, and the need they will create for new transportation, investment, recruitment and leadership strategies for transportation professionals.

The event is being sponsored by Mobil Delvac with the support of M-O Freightworks, Truck News and CITT Toronto Area Council.

The first speaker panel will touch on major technological changes and their impact on maintenance, technology investment and skills training practices and the second panel will start right after the break and focus on the impact of new technologies on the shipper-carrier relationship, operational and human resource practices.

The event will also feature a networking buffet dinner from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. and the first panel will beginning promptly at 7 p.m.

The event is $50.00 for CCLP designates and students and $65.00 for non-members.
