TORONTO, Ont. — TransCore has combined a number of its software applications into a central operating centre, which aims to combine the advantages of satellite asset tracking, freight matching and mileage calculator into a single solution.

The introduction of OpsCenter for carriers combines TransCore’s LoadLink freight matching, LinkDispatch management services, GlobalWave satellite-based asset tracking services and ProMiles mileage into a single service.

The web-based software application will allow carriers to book orders, find carriers, find freight, track their trucks, e-mail their drivers and process billings and payments from a single computer screen anywhere they have Internet access.

“Consistent with our strategy of enabling carriers to improve operational efficiency, this product offers a variety of essential services in a seamless application,” said John Worthington, president of TransCore. “So instead of having to purchase an assortment of
products, a carrier can buy just one and have access to a range of services.”

OpsCenter is a monthly pay-as-you-go Web application with users having access to the most recent version and have access to full service and support. Based on the number of users and the selected system components, OpsCenter can be priced for as low as $100 per month.
