TORONTO, Ont. — TransCore Link Logistics will be hosting its annual subscriber conference and charity golf tournament at Lionhead Golf and Country Club on July 12. The event, now celebrating its 13th year, is projected to bring the total raised for charity to more than $200,000, according to organizers.

“2010 was a sellout year,” said TransCore’s Cora Conforti, tournament chair. “But, we’re looking for more golfers and partners to support children’s charities.”

In the last 12 years, TransCore Link Logistics has donated more than $185,000 on behalf of their customers to children’s charities across Canada. Last year’s beneficiaries include:

-Jennifer Ashleigh Foundation
-Easter Seal House Society
-Alberta’s Children’s Hospital
-Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario Foundation Inc.
-Operation Enfant Soleil
-Starlight Children’s Foundation of Canada
-Child Development Centre
-Raptors Foundation
-I.W.K Health Centre Charitable Foundation
-Child Find Services
-Daybreak Parent-Child Centre Association
-Breakfast for Learning
-Families of Spinal Muscular Atrophy Canada
-Hospital for Sick Children Foundation
-Toronto Child Abuse Centre
-Janeway Children’s Hospital Foundation
-Kid’s Cancer Care Foundation of Alberta
-Ronald McDonald House Charities
-Make a Wish Foundation BC/Yukon
-Reach for the Rainbow
-Rebecca’s Hope
-The Children’s Wish Foundation of Canada

“We are extremely grateful to TransCore. It is thanks to our many donors and supporters, like them, that The Children’s Wish Foundation of Canada can continue its proud tradition of never refusing a wish to an eligible child,” said Janet Turner, vice-president of development at The Children’s Wish Foundation of Canada.

Organizers say the tournament will allow opportunities for networking and will feature contests, games and activities scheduled throughout the day. To play or sponsor this year’s event, contact Conforti at 800-263-6149 ext. 2210 or cora.conforti@transcore.com.
