MISSISSAUGA, Ont. — TransCore has announced it will now offer its reefer customers access to StarTrak’s ReeferTrak online reefer fleet management system.

ReeferTrak RT-6000 will be offered by TransCore. The system uses satellite-based trailer tracking and sensor technology to allow a fleet to remotely monitor its freight, setting alarms when trailer temperatures deviate from pre-set thresholds.

“This is a strong addition to TransCore’s portfolio of asset management products and services,” said David Sward, TransCore’s GlobalWave general manager.

ReeferTrak allows fleet managers to monitor items such as: trailer temperature; fuel levels; and reefer status. Communications are powered by TransCore’s GlobalWave satellite communications network. ReeferTrak is tied into StarTrak’s Refrigerated Asset Management Platform, which provides fleet managers will full visibility of their fleet.
