Truck News, TransCore merge non-driver job posts

TORONTO, Ont. — Truck News and TransCore Link Logistics have  integrated non-driver job postings between their respective Truck-Ops and Transportplanet.com job boards.

Thousands of Canadian job seekers and employers have already benefited from the existing collaboration between the two companies, where driver job postings from trucking employers are matched with active job seekers all across Canada that are registered on driverlink.com. Since 2001, the job and candidate matching technology platform provided by Driverlink has been the preferred job matching service for more than 12,000 job seekers and hundreds of transportation companies.

Truck-Ops was launched in February 2007. The job board, owned and operated by Truck News, Truck West and Motortruck Fleet Executive, is hosted at Trucknews.com. Transportation companies can now sign up and submit their non-driving job opportunities for free.

Transportplanet.com was introduced earlier this year by TransCore to meet the needs of recruiters and hiring managers looking for a pool of qualified transportation professionals and entry-level job seekers.

“We realize most transportation companies are watching their costs closely right now,” said Kathy Penner, associate publisher of Truck News/Truck West and administrator of the Truck-Ops service. “However, we also know it’s important to find the right people to fill important positions within your company. By offering our Truck-Ops service for free, we’re giving back to the industry and helping transportation companies strengthen their operations going forward.”
