TransCore’s N.A. spot market freight index stays strong

PORTLAND, Ore. — TransCore’s North American Freight Index continues to show strength, posting its third straight month of record spot freight availability in October.

The index showed a 69% increase compared to October 2009, the highest year-over-year gain since 2005, which was a peak year for sport market volume, TransCore announced.

Month-over-month, October volume was stable, up 0.9% over September’s levels.
